About Me...

Let me tell you a little about me and my background:

I am a qualified nurse and have worked in nursing for 27 years where I have spent much of my career working in Critical Care. I also spent a few years working in clinical oncology initially in Cambridge, moving to Norwich in 2012.

Working in these environments, I’ve seen first-hand the effects that emotional and traumatic life events can have on individuals. My professional and personal experiences naturally led me to this profession.

I have my own private practice in Honingham, Norfolk and I also offer a few sessions in Norwich.

I also work digitally and can offer online counselling for those who find it difficult to schedule counselling into their lifestyle. I use a secure video platform and the sessions are confidential.

Alongside private practice, I work as a volunteer counsellor at Emerging Futures. In this role, my focus is to move someone towards behaviour change, building resilience and self-worth.

I also work at Sue Lambert supporting clients who have experienced sexual abuse, sexual assault, or violence.

I am a key partner and write a monthly wellbeing column for Folk Features, the ad free positive news website for Norfolk and Suffolk. Each month you will find my wellbeing blog reposted on my website. You can follow Folk Features on Instagram @_folkfeatures

With thanks to Amanda Warman Photography @amandawarmanphotography for my photographs.

Personal Counselling

My counselling room is based in Honingham, Norfolk just off the A47. I offer a quiet and tranquil space to allow you the time to work through any issues.

Online Counselling

WE can connect and work together from wherever you are based. This is a great help if you are time limited. I use a secure online platform and the sessions are confidential.

If you wish to undertake online therapy, it is important that you have a space where you will not be interrupted for the duration of the session and you are alone. I can answer any questions you have if you wish to find out more about this style of therapy.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a safe and effective therapy which allows you to manage many different issues from sleep difficulties to anxiety and stress. It uses relaxation to allow our mind the flexibility to embrace change. View Hypnotherapy Services.

I am an integrative counsellor – what does this mean?

It means I tailor the therapy to suit you. I draw on different techniques to help you to move forward and gain insight into whatever is preventing you from moving forward. I feel as therapist we should be tailoring our sessions to the client needs, rather than trying to fit the client into a specific approach.

I provide a holistic approach to your therapy.

I keep up to date with relevant training and take part in regular supervision and CPD courses to keep my practice up to date and relevant.

I offer face-to-face or online sessions. View fees.

I am an accredited member of NCPS and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am fully insured. I have enhanced DBS status.
