My Route into Hypnotherapy
I was approaching mid-life and after 26 years in the nursing profession, decided it was time to try something new. I already had a whole toolbox of skills to help people having spent my time working in Critical Care and Oncology. I have always had an interest in the mind and how it works. I made the decision that I wanted a career that allowed me time to work with people on a more individual basis.
During my nursing career I have noticed how mindset has a significant impact on how people manage their illness/injury. The positive mindset allowing people much more resilience, giving them the ability to adapt to their situation. I find it fascinating to watch how people respond in different situations How with the right support you can help individuals to change their mindset, improving their ability to cope.
I experienced hypnotherapy first hand when I was experiencing my own personal trauma. Hypnotherapy helped me o come to terms with myself and be in control of my own thoughts. I felt empowered and it was a real life-changing experience.
I am now well into my hypnotherapy journey and at present continuing my studies to become a psychotherapeutic counsellor. It's never too late to start something new and I’ve never looked back.
My Work
I provide a safe, non-judgemental, and confidential environment for you to explore your issues at your own pace.
My initial hypnotherapy training was with the Chrysalis course and I have since completed additional courses. I work to an evidence-based model and as such I use techniques that have been found to be effective.
I treat each client as unique and provide a bespoke package of treatment. I choose the most effective hypnosis techniques to suit you as my client. It is always a collaborative relationship and I welcome your feedback. This allows me to work in the best way for you.

Specialist Areas
I see people for a wide variety of issues. However, I have interests in four key areas. Anxiety, Menopause Management, Alcohol Cessation and Weight Management/Disordered eating.
I have undertaken additional training in these four key areas. This has equipped me with the latest evidence-based techniques to use in my therapy room.

About ME
When I am not seeing clients or furthering my studies, my free time is all about being outside. I love spending time outside and feel lucky to live in Norfolk with its amazing countryside. I enjoy being surrounded by nature. I am frequently running or walking, and my next outdoor venture is going to be outdoor swimming. I take lots of photos and you may notice I use a lot of nature photos in my social media.
I am an avid people watcher, and I can spend hours sitting watching people going about their daily lives.
Gardening is another passion and growing vegetables is my latest trial – we will see if this is successful.
Cooking, I love food and enjoying experimenting with different cuisines. I find cooking very relaxing.
Misty and Mabel are my two cats both with their own unique personalities.
